Nicole Raine Photography is Nicole Raine Terhune.

Photography is my passion and the avenue by which I experience and document the world. I absolutely love what I do. Mixing travel and photography is my life's dream- two of my greatest passions combined. Beyond the compositions and simple asthetics of my work are the connections I make with my subjects. I always leave my shoots smiling and often catch myself smiling again as I work on editing the photos I've taken. These connections are just as important to me as the images.

I have always had a strong interest in the arts and originally thought I would be a painter or illustrator. I studied in Florence and London before realizing my path would be found from behind a camera. I have since earned one degree and am currently completing another. I also had the good fortune to study as a visiting student with Ohio University through their field school of photojournalism in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Having returned to Western Washington I have since been blessed with my son in October of 2007. Having him has greatly fuelled my joy of working with and photographing children, as well as a deeper understanding of family. Documenting our lives and those of my clients has become an even greater joy than I could have imagined before.
